The story

Trojan Harbour sits at the L4 Lagrange point on Jupiter’s orbit, 60° ahead of the planet. There the gravity of the Sun and Jupiter balance: the harbour keeps its place with almost no fuel. Thousands of Trojan asteroids circle around it.

Sunlight is about a twenty-seventh of Earth’s; 10 MW of panels work together with 16 RTGs. The harbour is a springboard for outer-system journeys and an ice-and-fuel depot.

Missions

  • Real counterparts: Lucy (touring the Trojan asteroids, 2021–2033)

Colony note

A port, not a settlement. Only members of the Terra Empire may dock (join from the War tab).

What probes bring back

  • Thousands of Trojan asteroids circle 60° ahead of (L4) and behind (L5) Jupiter on its orbit; Lucy (2021) is touring them.
  • Lagrange points are balance points of gravity: a harbour parked there keeps its place with almost no fuel.
