The story
Kuiper Gate is the Terra Empire’s port in the Kuiper belt, among icy bodies such as Pluto, Arrokoth, Haumea and Makemake. Sunlight is about 1/2000 of Earth’s; power comes from 40 RTGs and a small fission reactor.
The 70 m dish looks out of the Solar System and the rail is used to send probes to the icy bodies. The Kuiper belt is the birthplace of short-period comets.
