The story
Centauri Gate is a gate right beside Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system to the Sun. 60 MW of panels run in the light of two Sun-like stars; Proxima’s red dwarf shows in the distance. A junction for Proxima b and Barnard’s Star.
A fuel depot and a comms relay prepare for journeys beyond. This system is the target of Breakthrough Starshot’s laser-accelerated gram-sized probes.
