The story
Andromeda Gate is the Terra Empire’s farthest port: around the neighbouring galaxy Andromeda, 2.5 million light-years away. Andromeda approaches the Milky Way at about 110 km/s and the two galaxies will collide in about 4.5 billion years.
From here the whole disc of the Milky Way shows in the sky like a fan of light. The port’s reactors, fuel depot and inter-galactic communications terminal are ready for the Empire’s endless frontier.
